Hello everyone!

First off, thanks for taking a look around my blog. It’s not much, but I hope you found the things I wrote about interesting and maybe learned some new factoids. I’m from South Korea, so I’ve always had an interest for Korean culture, especially military and automotive history. While I will most certainly upload things here that are more general, there are certainly better written blogs out there than mine for the more mundane historic topics. So, expect this blog to be more oriented towards the anecdotal, esoteric histories of South Korean motoring, engineering, and armed forces.

Some proper introductions, then. My name is Jayden Choe and I’m currently a highschooler in Korea, and I’m a history buff. Like many of you out there, I suspect, I started my journey with Tiger tanks mauling convoys of Shermans and T34s in the Ardennes, and stories of Caesar vanquishing his enemies in Gaul.

I’ve always had an affinity for vehicles, whether they be planes, ships, tanks, cars, or motorbikes. If it had an engine, I was interested in it, and I was interested in how they shaped our lives and our cultures, and how often they were mechanisms of combat on the world stage. The standoff at Checkpoint Charlie between the M48 Pattons and T-54s comes to mind. Here, I’ll cover everything vehicular under the sun, and likely some military weaponry as well.

Cheers.
